Resources for Federal Workers

I stand in firm support of our dedicated federal workforce, and it is very disturbing to see the chaos that the Trump administration is working to bring to the Federal Government. Career officials serve the public interest, not political agendas, and Arlingtonians know this well. These federal workers are not just our civil servants, they are our neighbors, our friends, and our family. Efforts to undermine their job security through politically motivated firings not only weaken our government’s ability to serve the people but also deter talented individuals from entering public service.

I have compiled a list of resources for federal employees below.

Unemployment Assistance

Unemployment benefits are based on your work location, not your residence. Please reference the jurisdiction where your employer pays unemployment taxes to receive guidance on how to enroll.

For issues relating to the Virginia Employment Commission, please contact my office by calling (703) 486-1010, or emailing DelPHope@house.virginia.gov
